The September Together For Life community gathering will be a book launch party of the new book Unplanned Grace: A Compassionate Conversation on LIfe and Choice by Brittany Smith and Natasha Smith, with special guest co-author Natasha Smith.
The authors emphasize, “Approaching the issue of unplanned pregnancy with love and compassion opens doors and creates conversations in a way that judgment and shame never could.”
Together For Life is a monthly gathering to build relationships in our local pro-life community. It is hosted monthly at local churches and ministries, fostering engagement and relationship building with Christian communities across the Pikes Peak region.
The book launch gathering will be hosted on Sunday September 19, from 12:30-3:00 PM at Save the Storks, located in the David C. Cook Building 4050 Lee Vance View COS 80918. Please park in the large parking lot to the east/north of the building and enter in via the adjacent employee entrance. You can call Julie Bailey with any questions, 401-578-4471.
Brittany Smith and Natasha Smith, writing on behalf of Save the Storks, draw on personal interviews, inspiring stories, and eye-opening facts to help readers better understand:
~ the pressures and intricacies surrounding a woman’s pregnancy decision,
~ the importance of an empathetic approach to thosefacing unplanned pregnancies,
~ the enormous potential churches have to support women (and men) in crisis.
“Being pro-life actually means being pro-woman in a holistic way: caring for a woman’s physical and emotional state, her relationships, her livelihood, her future, and any needed healing from her past,” write the authors.
Pikes Peak Citizens For Life plans to pre-order a large number of the books and have them available for a free will offering at the Together for Life gathering. Natasha, one of the co-authors, will offer a presentation on the book, and then she and her co- author Brittany will sign books. Tours of the Save the Storks offices will also be available for participants.
