It is hard to believe, but in an interview on CNN, Governor Polis said abortion is bad and that Democrats are working to end it!
However, as is aptly pointed out in the coverage of the interview by Complete Colorado, his actions convey an opposite view of abortion. Over the past couple of years Polis has signed bills, in particular the Reproductive Health Equity Act, which are making abortion more prevalent in Colorado.
The ever important lesson here is that actions speak much louder than words!
But will the electorate learn? Polis appears to be betting that the voters will pay attention to his words and not his actions.
Interestingly, he thinks the voters want a candidate who wants to end abortion! If so, I think he is right, but, as his actions make clear, he is not that candidate!
