Ohio Act Borrows from Texas Heartbeat Act

The Texas Heartbeat Act has garnered a gigantic level of interest from numerous perspectives.

In Ohio, it is inspiring Republicans to introduce a bill “to effectively ban all abortions,” as noted in reporting from LifeSiteNews.

The Ohio bill “utilizes the enforcement mechanism from the successful Texas Heartbeat Act” and then goes beyond that act by banning abortion entirely except when “designed or intended to prevent the death of a pregnant mother.”

The sponsor of the Ohio bill noted that the Ohio bill is not unique, and that it also borrows from the Arkansas Unborn Child Protection Act.

The sponsor stated that “Alabama, Louisiana, Arkansas, and Utah” have “recently passed similar pieces of legislation.”

It is great to hear that the success achieved in Texas is being used as a guide in other states as well.
