No Consensus in U.S. Senate against Infanticide

A special “unanimous consent vote” was held yesterday in the U.S. Senate for a bill that would ban infanticide after failed abortions.

The vote failed to pass after Senator Patty Murray (D-WA) objected, as described by LifeSiteNews.

In other words, the U.S. Senate is not united against infanticide!

The issue is currently in the news due to the pro-infanticide comments of Virginia Governor Ralph Northam when he was addressing legislation that was being considered in the Virginia legislature.

Many have decried, and rightly so, that the people of our nation are not solidly against infanticide.

However, lost in this argument is any mention of the murder of children before they are born.

In fact, an argument can be made that we have come to the current situation regarding infanticide at least partly due to the acceptance of abortion by many citizens of the United States.

Not only is the murder of children after birth (i.e., infanticide) inhuman and unjust, the murder of children before birth (i.e., abortion) is inhuman and unjust!

There was a time when abortion was generally considered unthinkable!

Let us work to again make abortion unthinkable, and infanticide will disappear from consideration.
