Leaving 2018 and Starting 2019

Sobering news about 2018 greets us at the beginning of 2019.

Nearly 42 million people died from abortion worldwide in 2018 making abortion far and away the leading cause of death worldwide, as reported by Breitbart and LifeNews.

These reports confirm what Pikes Peak Citizens for Life stressed in our Fall 2018 ad campaign in regards to the U.S., i.e., abortion is far and away the leading cause of death in the United States.

Truly shocking is to see the statistics already being compiled for 2019 at the Worldometers site, referenced by the Breitbart and LifeNews stories.

If you go to the Health section of the Worldometers site you will see a count of abortions increasing every second.

From another perspective, given the population of Colorado Springs, the number of people killed by abortion worldwide last year is the equivalent of more than 86 cities the size of Colorado Springs.

And that was just for 2018!

Somehow we have to turn this situation around, and we can start in our own region.

On January 20th Pikes Peak Citizens for Life will host a Remembrance of the Roe v. Wade decision and on January 21st the annual Rocky Mountain March for Life will be held in Colorado Springs.

Further away will be the Celebrate Life Rally and March in Denver on January 12th.

And even further away will be numerous Marches for Life in other cities of the United States.

We invite you to take part in as many events as you can in an effort turn our society and the whole world away from its obsession with abortion and back towards a culture of life.
