October is Respect Life month, and we are almost at the end of it for 2019.
We have been pretty busy with events running through the whole month.
Our Life Chains on October 6 in Colorado Springs and Monument both experienced slightly higher attendance this year over last year, with about 150 people at the former chain and around 70 people at the latter chain. Choose Life Colorado T-shirts and stickers made a debut at this year’s chains and appeared to be fairly popular with the attendees. (We have more T-shirts and stickers if you are interested, just ask us.) We thank all of you who were able to come out and be witnesses for life to our community.
The Roses for Life project, which brings awareness of pro-life issues into local churches, was able to reach a few more churches this year over last year. A big thanks goes out to all of the volunteers who helped with the roses for this effort!
Finally 40 Days for Life has been underway the whole month and will finish up on November 3 with a closing ceremony at 1 PM at the Centennial Blvd. pregnancy center (see our calendar for more details). Many prayer volunteers have been out at all hours of the day and in all sorts of weather to ultimately end the practice of abortion in our community, and we humbly thank all of them for their witness.
All of these concrete steps contribute to the transformation of our culture. Let us make it a culture of life!
